@BleuTitan @NewbirthX @FabrizioRomano Ecuador is playing the best they ever have and Ivory Coast has talent. It’s not an easy group.
English

@FabrizioRomano Germany has been handed a soft group [E].
Expect them not to go beyond the round of 16.

@alimnonu @EkeneAninze Statesmanship status? Am afraid he's already sold that to do the bidding of the incumbent. He's not contesting to win, it's operation stop Obi by any means necessary
English

@EkeneAninze Your analysis aptly captures the situation. Jonathan will not only be playing the spoiler on behalf his recruiters, he will also end up destroying the statesmanship status he has been accorded and the goodwill of many from the South.
English

So Jonathan has reportedly picked the PDP nomination form to run for the Presidency.
First, I need to clarify that nothing of such has happened yet. Such news can simply be regarded as a bait being used by the Turaki-led faction to attract legitimacy, attention and relevance to the party.
But understand this very clearly, if this eventually turns out to be a reality, just like I said before now, Jonathan will not be in the race because he feels he is the most competent to rule, neither will he be there because he strongly believes he can win.
If Jonathan ever agrees to enter the race, it will simply mean that he has agreed to do the bidding of those who want him in the race. And that bidding will be very simple — to ensure that the popularity and acceptance of the OK movement in the South is checkmated and reduced to the lowest possible level.
The moment Jonathan agrees to join that race, Obi automatically becomes the biggest loser because his influence in the South will be punctured, divided and weakened, and that is exactly what the assignment will be.
Jonathan, who could not defeat Buhari even with the full power of incumbency in his hands, understands very well that at this critical point, his chances of winning are extremely minimal, especially with a fractured PDP that barely has governors standing firmly with it.
However, this is politics and like I always say, not every candidate enters a race because they want to win. Some candidates are strategically planted to distract, divide and weaken the chances of another candidate.
If Jonathan eventually agrees to be in this race, just know that he would simply be agreeing to play against Obi the same role Seyi Makinde may likely play against President Tinubu in the West.

There's chaos in Orsu after Cubana Chief Priest' heavy loss.
Opponents are mocking him that Village Boys outshine City Boys.
As at this morning, he was seen sneaking out from his house en route to Lagos.
He's asking for a refund and the elders are telling him that investments in politics are similar to investments in gambling.

I completely agree with you that systemic change is the most important thing Nigeria needs right now.
What I find particularly insulting is when individuals suddenly emerge from nowhere shortly before elections, quickly establish foundations, and then present themselves as leaders deserving of public office.
English

Nigeria must stop electing politicians based on tribe, religion, noise, or last-minute charity performances.
A true leader is someone with a long history of service, from their local community upward, not people who suddenly discover “love for the masses” a few months before elections and quickly set up foundations to deceive voters.
Leadership leaves a trail long before campaigns begin.
We must start choosing competence, character, vision, courage, and proven impact over ethnic and religious sentiments.
A bad leader from your tribe or religion will still destroy your future.

@IamAdamuAbu @felixherbt @WorldBankGroup @_MAGA_NEWS_ @BBCWorld @itswpceo @WorldBankAfrica Wise words
English

@felixherbt @WorldBankGroup @_MAGA_NEWS_ @BBCWorld @itswpceo @WorldBankAfrica When we all open our eyes and hearts to agree for once that the west, world bank, imf all wants our government/politicians to destroy our country, we will all "together" agree on a solution.
But for now we can continue doing religion, tribe and the blind North/South blame game.
English

Dear @WorldBankGroup,
For the second time, stop enabling our politicians to destroy our country. There is nothing beneficial to the citizens from the loan given to them. They only share it among themselves and use the rest to buy votes for re-election.
Stop giving President Tinubu loans. We Nigerians are pleading!

@Godsworktx @Blue_Footy @Cold_wota @alex_crook I have a feeling Xabi will be Liverpool manager next season. He's using Chelsea to draw Liverpool's attention.
English

@Blue_Footy @Cold_wota @alex_crook They should forget about Iraola and focus on Xabi Alonso cus if Slot doesn’t secure a champions league spot for Liverpool they might change their mind

Godswork Nwate@Godsworktx
Please @ChelseaFC announce Xabi Alonso as next Chelsea manager now Liverpool just lost to Aston Villa 🥲
English

🗣 @alex_crook: "It was only about a week ago that I was told that Xabi Alonso wasn't completely convinced about this Chelsea project, but since Monday afternoon, when I got the note that actually he's coming around the idea.
I think this one is accelerating, I think Xabi Alonzo is the front runner, probably with Andoni Iraola in second place in that race."

@MarriageWriter @firstladyship @velele17 It's a combination of both. You get the feeling the people still supporting his reelection are under some sort of spell they intentionally don't wanna wake up from.
English

@firstladyship @velele17 Sorry to say this, but age is not the problem here.
It's either it's an outright deceit like the bulaba balablu vibe that disappeared after election or there is a trick going on.

As a Nigerian American, I feel a type of secondhand embarrassment on behalf of the country. His head is more empty than I thought.
The moderator was very courteous. A sign of her obvious respect for the grandpapa. She didn’t even press him too hard. You will notice her friendly disposition toward a Bola Tinubu.
Mehdi Hasan won’t have been so lenient.
The man leading a 250-million-population should be intellectually sound, not a vegetable.
At 89, OBJ is still exceptional, as sharp as a razor. He would have used the opportunity to shine. He will do much better than Seyi’s father.
His deep devotion to intellectual debates is beyond a shadow of a doubt. You can’t catch Aremu stumbling when it’s time to shine. A showstopper: he makes himself the showpiece.
His charisma is still at its peak. His poise is at its crescendo. He has a type of magnetism & charisma, people can’t resist him. He would have set the agenda. Olusegun Obasanjo would have determined the energy in that hall.
People should actually know when to quit. It is time for Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go home.

English

@Simon5347055800 @Blue_Footy It's not a coaching problem to be honest. Get rid of the owners and sack all the directors. Press the restart button and let's see where it take us
English

@Blue_Footy 🚨🗣 “NO” Xabi isn’t the peak of head coaches that can change things around at #CFC, you are simply giving yourself expectations that are over the line‼️
English

At this point, I think the only reason Xabi Alonso won't end up as Chelsea head coach is if Chelsea don't agree to his terms and allow him the freedom to build his team, just like in Enrique’s case, and we ended up with Pochettino.
If the same thing happens again, I will give up on BlueCo. It's as simple as that. They can't keep making the same mistake and stressing my life unnecessarily. Imagine where we would've been if they had listened to Enrique. 🤔
This is redemption time!
