It rarely makes financial sense, especially in this market with 6-7% interest rates. You will most likely never make a profit in the end. After you add in taxes, upkeep and interest paid maybe you break even at best. Unless you can buy a house cash, it might change final numbers.

Can someone explain, like I’m 10, why buying a house is worth it if you still have to pay property taxes after the mortgage is paid off?

I find it frustrating that eBay holds your funds throughout the authentication process, but I get it! I’m not a high volume seller, does there get to a point where they “trust” the seller enough that they release the funds during the in between stage?
