@FirstWizardZed 100% correct! I would recommend to start with non-prod clusters to get familiar with it, then move to general workloads. Hopefully the org has a dedicated SQL cluster which may not be a great candidate for this feature.

The 40% TCO figure is real — but the part nobody talks about is the workload profiling you have to do first. Memory tiering in VCF 9 is not a set-and-forget config. Hot/cold page classification only works well when you've actually mapped your VM access patterns. Slap it on a latency-sensitive DB without profiling first and you'll walk it back by end of week. Huge feature. Needs respect.
