Alright, here is something interesting… The headline of this article states they’ll also broadcast three LIVE city2 games, but the article itself has no mention of that. Maybe just a mistake, but if MLSNP is allowing local broadcast deals now, it would be a very big deal…

Albany publicly mentioned a lack of TV deal flexibility as one reason they switched to pursuing USL, and they aren’t the only prospective group who gave that feedback to the league. It’s a very big deal as the league looks to attract more independent clubs in the years to come.
