I was officially confirmed into the holy Roman Catholic Church this morning at the 9:30am mass. Super happy and blessed to be apart of the church Christ founded.

I will be going to an Orthodox Church for the first time in about 14 years. I never had a good experience when I was younger but I never stopped exploring my beliefs independently. Any advice or things I should prepare for?

Father, I don't understand why are you trying so hard to not pin the assassination on a radial leftist? I mean the engravings, the life style he was in, the reports in the WSJ about what his family member said about him all point to the left wing. At the end of the day a deranged degenerate killed a good Christian man regardless of political ideology

Good morning Sunday from an illiberal liberal called ‘Freedom Americans’ who is threatening NOT to come from the US to the U.K., and also defames and wishes us harm in the same breath. How on earth will we cope with a boycott like this? We may as well just close the doors now🙄

We thought so much more of you @StephenKing and even though this may harm us financially we’re removing all your books from our website. Absolute abhorrent and ill informed comment in the first instance that an inchoate apology doesn’t begin to cover. Go further.

Good morning fellow Catholics! I will be attending a TLM for the first time in the near future. Any tips before I go? Should I wear a suit? What should my wife wear? Thanks in advance for the tips!

I wear these all the time almost outside of work. Exercising, working at the car, making food - most times. I’m never at peace if I’m not listening to a debate or podcast. Does anyone think Bluetooth EarPods are really bad for you or had any bad side effects?

@csongi23602566 I get it, I sometimes get random spurts of "what if this not real" however, how I view it in those moments is simple to me. I say to myself "Even if this isn't true, I have nothing to lose, if it is true and I reject it I have everything to lose."

Hey everyone. I'm in a pretty bad mental state rn. Christianity is the only faith that could be true. It is also the most rational and logical explanation to everything. And yet the thought of it not being true has been eating away at me.

@truestorybro77 @Krum_Valkov @C2Antiquity Nice AI list, too bad it's all wrong and even sounds dumb. Neither Luke nor Romans reference 66 books. You follow the Jewish canon because you fall into the sin and heresy of Judiazing. It also explains why the Israeli flag is in your bio. At this point, just be a Mormon.

Alright, everyone, before I get down into the breakdown, if I may ask if you are going to participate this month, please drop a reply below. Anyway, here is the breakdown of the readings per week. If you are unable to keep up, it's okay to slow down and pace yourself. I’ll pin a discussion thread where we can chat about the readings, and I ask that we keep topics limited to the chapters assigned for that week. If you want to post outside the discussion thread of the week, you can do that, too. However, the discussion thread will act like a forum for the week, so it will be easier to locate everyone's replies there. I recommend getting an eBook copy or ordering from a site like Amazon. Cheers 🥂 to our first book being read together! Week 1 (Sept 1–7): Ch. 1 — The Indispensable Church Ch. 2 — A Light in the Darkness Ch. 3 — How the Monks Saved Civilization Week 2 (Sept 8–14): Ch. 4 — The Church and the University Ch. 5 — The Church and Science Week 3 (Sept 15–21): Ch. 6 — Art, Architecture, and the Church Ch. 7 — The Origins of International Law Week 4 (Sept 22–28): Ch. 8 — The Church and Economics Ch. 9 — How Catholic Charity Changed the World Finish (Sept 29–30): Ch. 10 — The Church and Western Law Ch. 11 — The Church and Western Morality Conclusion — A World Without God
