A few months ago, I shared how my passion for research began and how Open Access has impacted my work. It reflected my beginnings in research as a second-year medical student from Ogbomoso, Nigeria. I’m deeply grateful to Wiley for this opportunity.

Grateful to see my Google Scholar citations reach 3,000+ and my h-index rise to 26. None of this happens without incredible mentors, collaborators, and a research community that cares deeply about stroke recovery and neuromodulation.

We looked at different anticoagulation strategies for preventing strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who have already had a stroke or TIA. We found that DOACs are more effective than vitamin K antagonists VKAs. journals.lww.com/annals-of-medi…

Our SR & MA estimates Huntington’s disease prevalence in Sub-Saharan Africa. 2.81 per 100k overall. Just 0.01/100k in Black populations. Unique HTT haplotypes (B2 in Blacks). Sparse outcome data. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
