@MileHightheGrey If you think about it, it’s really so simple. You just go unbeaten. Why didn’t other coaches think of that first? Going unbeaten in conference play is so easy only 1 team did it this year.

@MileHighBrendan was here (and still is sometimes)
To anyone who is seriously making this argument — that somehow Miami has set a easy-button precedent, which other mid-majors will now follow — please understand that it's the dumbest, most utterly insane, absurd thing anyone has ever argued in the history of argumentation.
@MileHighBrendan was here (and still is sometimes)@MileHightheGrey

@jamfan40 Teams play easy schedules all the time. They NEVER go undefeated. NEVER. Because it's fucking HARD. The idea that now a rash of mid-majors are going to try to schedule their way into undefeated seasons, so they can walk a tightrope and barely make it to a play-in game, is absurd.

@NicholasCarr @mitchgoldich Do you have this for the women as well? It’s been so tough to find the channels for the women’s game but the men have a few brackets with channels provided.

I have seen so many fancy schedule graphics for March Madness. Calendars and overlapping TV channel grids and logos and colors. And they are all beautiful and creative. And I am confident some people would like to see the games simply listed in order in a basic spreadsheet 😏

@Bauertology If they really screwed over Purdue over a difference in 991 miles and 984 miles, that’s absurd.

To the 10 seeds, where we run into a little bit of trouble. #37 Santa Clara starts us off. OKC is the closest regional, but that's a no-go due to Saint Mary's. So they have their choice of two St. Louises instead. They would ordinarily go to the one in the West (closer regional), except for the fact that Gonzaga is in the same half of that regional. Teams that played each other three or more times prior to the NCAA Tournament cannot possibly be allowed to meet until the Elite Eight, so Santa Clara slides into St. Louis in the Midwest instead. #38 UCF heads to the closest pod in Philadelphia. #39 Missouri is the luckiest 10 seed of all time, getting a subregional in St. Louis just 122 miles away from Columbia. This is a tough draw for both Miami and Purdue, but just as it was with Houston before, there's no rule currently in place disallowing a team from playing a game that close to campus, provided that they aren't the host team. If anything, it's encouraged, based on the language that teams should be placed in their region of natural interest as much as possible. (There is a rule about avoiding placing top-4 seed at "home crowd disadvantages" in the first round, but that doesn't apply here.) #40 Texas A&M closes out the 10s by landing in Oklahoma City.

Folks, it's that time. Welcome to How They Built the Bracket! Every year, once the dust has settled from the reveal of the selection committee's 68-team field, I dig into the bracketing process, following the committee's guidelines and principles step-by-step to reverse-engineer the exact same bracket, revealing how it was all constructed. Over the next few hours, I will be demonstrating the bracket-building process seed line by seed line. In case you aren't aware of the principles in place that the committee abides by, make sure to go check out the document located on the Bauertology website Resources page: bauertology.com/bracketing-pri… Before we dive in, here's the selection committee's overall seed list from 1 to 68, which will serve as the foundation for the order that teams are placed into the bracket.

Paymon of 368/408, not 348 Full seed list: Had 48/68 on correct line and other 20 within 1. Committee used WAB pretty closely. Had 8 more teams 1 spot away from correct line (i.e. top 13 and ended up as a 12)

15 more hours, 21 games, 11 bids and it all starts with the America East final at 11 eastern. All that's missing is Patrick Gymnasium in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. #ChampWeek

@GeorgasEvan @bamabyte @EvanMiya It is though. It was a one point loss and that missed call cost them two points. And this was quite a one sided officiated game too. Bama was -9 on objectively bad calls tonight. 6 bad calls went against them, compared to just one that went in their favor.

Ole Miss has knocked off 2-seed Alabama in an absolute STUNNER in Nashville. As the 15-seed, the Rebels have beaten Texas, Georgia, and Alabama in consecutive days. Just two games away from an SEC cinderella story... if that's even a thing.

3/13 Bracketology. Have to think the winner of tonight’s UNM-SDSU game is in, loser is out. Top 4 seed lines basically set, especially since committee doesn’t like to change late
