The Celtics are projected to take Morez Johnson Jr. with the 27th pick according to Tankathon. Thoughts?👀

@Brett_Pats Correct but even then he isn’t really efficient anyways. Don’t need him to listen to fans just want him to keep shooting

Tatum’s shooting will probably be the last thing to return but he’s so good in every other aspect who even cares

@AndrewDBailey Best player doesn’t mean most valuable. Not sure what the issue is here

I keep seeing arguments for various NBA MVP candidates that include "so and so has this stat since this date," and none of the time frames are anywhere near the full length of the season.

@NicholasGoodsp4 @kawhi_ring Prime LeBron James rn would be by far the best player in basketball. He was to strong to fast to good of a passer rebounder and defender. He was the most complete player ever

@LaviaSwivel @PranavSriraman I mean the celtics this year learning Mazzula culture and coaching can produce results on even when people thought it was a gap year. Celtics and Thunder are probably the two best ran and coached orgs. Hard to prove MVP cases when results come no matter who’s on the floor.

@NicholasGoodsp4 @PranavSriraman Id hope they’d look good without him as one of the strongest depth rosters ever, but for it to look like Tatum OKC would need to trade Chet or Jdub + strip doe depth pieces like Joe, Dort, mcccain and maybe Hartenstein. And still be a top team in the west, I wouldn’t see that

@LaviaSwivel @PranavSriraman Can make the same argument for Shai yes he’s an amazing scorer but they do just fine without him. A well rounded roster allows Shai to do the things he does.

@NicholasGoodsp4 @PranavSriraman And for good reason a worse version of his roster compared to prior years has been the best team in the east for 80% of a regular season without him. He is a great player tho just less than others

@LaviaSwivel @PranavSriraman Tatum got penalized for having a great team, he led in points assists and rebounds and since he had Holiday and Porzingis it didn’t matter.

@NicholasGoodsp4 @PranavSriraman Luka led teams also win less than shai/tatum led teams, about the same but less than jokic, little less than Ant led teams, little more than current Gianni’s but less than peak Giannis, and less than current wemby. So where Luka’s adding value compared to peers?

@LaviaSwivel @PranavSriraman Shai and Tatum teams have competent ownership/management which has led to the having great teams followed by success. Ant isn’t on the same level and Giannis is greater than them all. Luka has to handle alot more it’s just a fact I’m sorry. In a Celtics fan

@PranavSriraman Haha what he’s going to get actual votes for DPOY Wallace will make all defense and McCain is either off the bench. Don’t cry now that Presti built a monster and that’s okay. Luka is just far more valuable.

@NicholasGoodsp4 If only that meant something and people call Chet ass all the time a better narrative for yall would be to call him a top 10 player or something using EPM

Fun fact: Shai can miss 175 shots in a row and he would still have a higher FG% than Luka. Market says SGA has a 92% chance of winning MVP on @Novig

@SpeakContext @statmuse @Novig Bro Shai has a 3+ assist to turnover ratio, and is one of the best off ball/help defenders in the league lol It’s okay to accept it, Shai is the MVP

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remains No. 1 on NBA.com’s updated MVP Ladder. “No one this season has surpassed his consistency and efficiency — he’s shot 52% or better overall in all but one month. The icing is the record 20-point streak.” #ThunderUp
