All too tragically, antisemitism remains a scourge in Canada and around the world. We must continue to confront it. Remembrance is not passive. It asks us to learn, to speak out, and to stand firmly against hate in all its forms, wherever it appears. —- Aujourd'hui, à Ottawa, nous avons commémoré la Journée nationale du souvenir de l'Holocauste. Last May, Toronto City Council passed my motion to establish 50 metre bubble zones between protests and places of worship, schools and daycares. There’s simply no good excuse why all these months later, it still isn’t being enforced properly. I share Councillor Pasternak’s concern over the lawlessness and hate affecting our city and join his request for clarity on why our bubble zone bylaw was not properly enforced.
