Mark Carney has hired an American Democrat political operative to run his "day to day" affairs as Prime Minister. So essentially, an American Democrat is running the day to day operations in Canada now. I guess "elbows up" was just a slogan after all. This reminds me of a scene in the movie Casino where mob casino boss Ace Rothstein is concerned about his gaming license because he knows the state of Nevada would never issue one due to his known criminal connections.
