@JRPG_Warrior The art direction the developers intended for (while not always the case) used to be limited to the hardware. This absolutely led to a certain amount of charm and nostalgia for us who grew up with these games. Mods are interesting for further playthroughs!

I'm playing FFVII, and a friend of mine said, "You really need to install some mods, it looks so much cooler." I really don't like the mods at all. If I'm going to play a classic, I want it to be as close to the original experience as possible. That's part of its charm for me.

@tylerblack32 Maybe. Or maybe exercise is managing symptoms to a degree. And we also have to understand the gradient of their depression, what type, etc. These are high functioning individuals. Much the same as other elite, creative, and talented people. Nuance is the name of the game

I don't give a fuck if you've lost every job and nobody likes you and you're 39. You're not even at halftime. You're just losing right now. You're not a loser.

@morellifit Wow this is amazing Michael! I wish I had this for my dog. She was a ripe 16 when she passed 😢 last year. I’m really hopeful for all the advancements we’ll see for our pets in the coming years.

He heard some of you were asking for proof. 6 months ago, he couldn’t make it onto the patio. Now look at him.
Michael Morelli@morellifit

I revived my 14-year-old dog with peptides. 6 months ago, he was slowing down fast. He was limping, achy, getting up slowly, and couldn't jump on the couch. We honestly didn't know if we had 6 months left with him. Today, our boy is running, jumping on the patio, going on long walks again, and even his hearing is back. I approached his protocol the same way I'd approach mine. - We started with BPC-157 and TB-500. 1-2 mg a day, 5 days on, 2 days off, injected basically the same way you'd inject a human. Within a couple of weeks, we saw less limping, less stiffness, he was moving better, etc. - Then we ran his labs the same way I run mine. Everything looked good except some minor kidney markets, and at his age kidney issues can spiral into problems dogs don't come back from. We addressed this with a bioregulator stack, again the same ones I use. - Then we put him on TRT. We're all aware of what happens to men when testosterone tanks with age. Now consider that we neuter our dogs, cut off their testosterone production entirely, and never think about it again. We put our boy on testosterone and the change was immediate. Within days of the first shot he became a different dog. We started with one shot a week, but just like in humans, by day 5 or 6 the levels drop and you get peaks and troughs. So we split it into two shots a week: Tuesday and Friday. We started conservatively, around 20mg per shot, and titrated up from there based on how he responded and how his labs looked. We landed at about 60mg total per week for a 70 pound dog, keeping a close eye on labs the whole way. That made a huge difference. Shot day is like a revival for him. ... And it's not just us, in fact other families are running the same protocol and seeing similar results. 6 months ago we were counting the time we had left with him. My kids were horrified by the thought that he would no longer be there as they grew up with him as their full-time guardian. Now I genuinely believe we have another 3 years. If you have a dog, understand that he's aging the same way you are. He needs help, but he can't do the research... you can! And after seeing what this protocol did for him, I knew other dog owners deserved access to it too, so check the tweet below.

@xMBGx Part of the charm is physical discs with the manuals. Manuals used to be so cool with amazing artwork, tips, tricks, and gameplay tutorials, and more. The game industry used to have much more wimsy. Now it’s just a cash grab with the occassional passion project.

@maxlugavere I understand maximizing everything to a T. But man, it has gotten out of hand. Some position it as conscious capitalism. It always comes back to money in the end. Problem is some people defer all their brain power and decision making to these online personalities. Crazy

@Mark_Sisson There also has to be so many other factors that relate to resting heart rate. How could one possibly pinpoint that one variable as being the sole reason?

@misraetel It’s like how Pererson describes weakness as non-virtuous. When our society looks at weakness as their problem. It’s not. That’s why saving a drowning person requires them to gain control over their biology freaking out - else both people drown. Competency is virtuous.

@AmmousMD Do you feel more doctors (are starting to or will) adopt this perspective? Because this is 100% what patients need. The education and dogma in medical schools desperately need a major overhaul - proper diagnostics as (a small part) of their curriculum. Life saving but…

Modern medicine wants you to believe health comes from drugs discovered in university labs. The body is far more complex, no single molecule is the answer. Real health comes from realigning with nature.

@Camp4 So true. And it’s also sad to see a lot of the younger generation being inspired by big muscles and how much total weight they can move around. Instead of understanding that relative strength, mobility, range of motion, and endurance (both cardio and muscular) are the keys.

Train biceps? I'd bet that your standing barbell curl is training your lower back and front delts more than your biceps. Watch any guy over 40 curl heavy. What you’ll see is his hips shoot forward, ribs flare, and then the lower back finishes the rep. Fix? Feet elevated straight bar cable curl. Feet up → pelvis tucks → spine can't cheat → biceps do 100% of the work (plus it protracts the shoulder into a healthier position). The result is you get constant cable tension with zero momentum and zero back tax. If your arm growth has stalled recently or you just need fresh inspiration, give this exercise a try and let me know what you think.

@foundmyfitness So just seperate consumption by about an hour or so? I don’t understand the hesitation, if any, to take action with compelling data - death by one thousand cuts.

Timing isn't the point here. Drinking the smoothie immediately is certainly better than letting it sit (as the study's graph indicates). But the timing data suggest that it does not eliminate the effect. Even when the banana smoothie was consumed within 10 minutes of prep, peak plasma concentrations of flavan-3-ol metabolites were 60% lower (~250 nmol/L) than the mixed-berry smoothie (~660 nmol/L). So even prompt consumption leaves a large absorption gap.
Gil Carvalho MD PhD🌈🇵🇸@NutritionMadeS3

This idea that bananas reduce polyphenols in smoothies comes from a single study in 8 people, where the smoothies sat on a bench for 40mins-1h after preparation The same study showed if you drink it after blending most of the effect goes away If you´re drinking smoothies with fruit and greens you´re doing pretty darn amazing whether you add a banana in there or not. There´s barely any compelling evidence that this makes a meaningful difference health-wise
