@realJamesMarley Higher bpms give the instant satisfaction of “a banger” but in fact it is a big trap. I have seen crowds flying with 110 bpm and full warehouses stand still on 130bpm

@NickDevontrue I feel you BUT i recently went to 94 bpm and I was amazed of how much time you get to play wit all the sounds in between beats. Great experience stepping out of comfort and just make music :) increasing the bpm feels way harder i admit

As a teenager, i was more open to exloring new sounds. Jumping for heavy metal to techno and drum and bass seemed like a sendible transition. Now i sometimes try to jump from 123 to 126 bpm and the gap seems like the Grand Canyon

Locked in 123bpm, sync is on, perfect chromatic transitions, playing all the hits, almost surgical mixing, yet no room for excitement. Safe mode gets you nowhere
