Today, AMC Entertainment announced our best first quarter results since 2019. In just 3 months, our Adjusted EBITDA was up a breathtaking $96 million year over year.
And we reaffirmed how optimistic we are about a growing industry-wide box office for the remainder of 2026.

AMC just dropped a Q1 most people won’t understand yet but they’ll feel it later. Best Q1 EBITDA since 2019, revenue +21%, box office +22% YoY, and cash burn collapsing, all while pushing debt to 2031, lowering interest expense, converting $155M of debt to equity, and actively strengthening liquidity. At the same time, studios are locking in 45+ day theatrical windows, Netflix is entering theaters, and labor peace is secured, this is full industry + company alignment with operating leverage back and the box office accelerating into 2026. Still priced like it’s broken… that disconnect won’t last. $AMC OVER NOISE🎈💧🤿

This interview was incredible. Cohen said multiple times that the offer was half cash half shares and they continously said that he only had $29B in cash so HOW COULD HE POSSIBLY BUY A COMPANY FOR $56B!?!? In my own head I said "umm because the other half is shares??" and CNBC could not put that math together. Then told him "The math doesn't math". Eventually leading to complete confusion on RC's side and him realizing that they brought him on to just try to make him look incompetent compared to all of the "finance pros here". Absolute shill-fest. @ryancohen

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is the fourth huge hit movie in just the last seven weeks! Some 4.4 million guests saw movies at AMC and Odeon this past weekend, Thursday to Sunday.

Everything has been breaking my way of late. Four blockbuster hit movies in theatres the past several weeks. Finally studios are giving us a 45 day exclusive theatrical window. Netflix taking Narnia to theatres too.
And “my” 76ers, down 3-1, came back to win Game 7 in Boston.
Before tonight, Boston won their playoff series 32-0 when up 3-1. Philly 0-18 when down 3-1.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, I was CEO of the Sixers 15 years ago and a co-owner of the team for over a decade.
The Celtics were a ferocious opponent. It won’t be any easier against the Knicks.
