“The book wasn’t Wes’s idea but, if he does ever have a pop at the top political job as so many people expect, it won’t do him any harm to have a tome about his disadvantaged London roots on the shelves.”

Intriguing thread, well worth a read:

@DanNeidle I'm curious - given that you've now done tax issues related to four of the five big parties, which group had the most vociferous tribal immune response, and which the least? (Don't feel any pressure to answer, I realise it may only draw further opprobrium)

@greatcreator147 @diana_blamires Any idea what his point is, Diana? He weighed in, refused to explain his point, then blocked me. Bit odd. Presumably he’s got some specific beef he’s struggling to explain or perhaps he is politically comprised on this issue? I’d genuinely like to have known.
English

@greatcreator147 @diana_blamires Indeed. But what exactly is the joke we are currently missing? Pray tell.

Great news. If only there were the same commitment to getting trains running through the unused-but-new station of Winslow at this end of the OxCamArc. @diana_blamires

⭐️CAMBRIDGE SOUTH STATION⭐️ It will open from 28 June. With up to nine trains per hour and all passing services stopping, Cambridge South will make a real difference from day one.🚊 My Mayoral Authority put in early funding specifically to help bring this station forward.

@comp_future Have you decided a position on selection at 16 yet? It is very much more common than at 11.

@greatcreator147 @diana_blamires I’m not convinced the local residents are finding the current situation all that funny … but do explain. Sometimes people can find comedy in tragedy I suppose.
English

@nickhillman @diana_blamires What's unclear or bothering you?
Happy to elaborate.
English

@nickhillman @diana_blamires @diana_blamires no doubt you and your crew will make the most of this opportunity. Maybe try a different approach, such as humour?

How can stuff like this get written? Imagine it for any other good! “Affordability is driving the chocolate price spike, not a cocoa bean shortage. We just need to designate some beans as special cheap beans to bring prices down” bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The unbelievable fiasco continues. Everyone blames everyone else while policymakers fail to knock heads together. The end result? No one can catch a train. Diana is running a fantastic campaign to highlight the problems.
