Just learned the urgent care in town closes at 8pm. Arrived at 8:02pm. Another parent was standing outside with their kid in their arms when I pulled up, and we were told to go wait in the 7+ hour ER line instead. Real human stuff.

And I hope some day you see that, too. My dear wife, I see the woman who accomplished all the goals she set out to. Who won. That’s worth celebrating as much as you are today. Happy birthday. From the start, to now, and for forever—I love you, Kayla. 7/7

My last 3 months have been spent being nothing but a dad. No work, just here, with her. I have so many things to say and I’ll write plenty about it. I’m also so happy I got to do it. But tonight I am only sad.
