Here a clip from our 2021 documentary 'Santiago Rising' featuring Luis Polo Lillo, director of the inspirational Chilean community TV channel Señal Tres La Victoria (@tv_piola). Polo sadly passed away in December 2021 but his legacy lives on. @StgoRising directed by @NickMacWilliam screens in London this Thursday 24 October. Admission is via voluntary donation with all proceeds going towards supporting independent media, equally split between Chile’s Señal Tres La Victoria and UK-based Alborada (@alboradanet). There will be a post-screening Q&A with the film's director, Chilean journalist/academic Dr Marcela Pizarro and academic Marcos Ortiz (@ojodelmedio). Today 10 UK police launched a pre-dawn raid on the home of Asa Winstanley, one of Britain’s leading and most celebrated investigative journalists. All this devices, so all his journalistic materials, were seized and are now with the authorities. He was not charged with a crime.
