Those who would wish to understand my approach to social media wankers & hecklers would do well reading the Rev. Dr. Martin King Jr. 1963 Letter from Birmingham Jail.

A fine thinker, public intellectual, and an excellent journalist who wrote many drafts of history and offered sharp opinions through his column in and works at the @DailyMonitor. My brother and friend @Kalinaki has been the finest of his lot and generation. As you retire from your role at the @DailyMonitor, I wish you all the very best in your next undertaking. I pray you keep your column and your role as a public intellectual. For now, I celebrate you. Your tenacity, sharp mind, pen, and commitment to the public & especially the poor, has improved us all.

My late mother began her PhD journey in her 50s but sadly passed on before completing it. Being able to pursue mine feels like carrying forward her legacy. I hope to encourage many others to pursue theirs. You can do it if you put your mind to it. endowment.mak.ac.ug/pages/mileston…

Humbled to have been interviewed by the Makerere University Endowment Fund newsletter, where I shared my PhD journey — the why behind it and the community that made it possible. endowment.mak.ac.ug/pages/mileston…

Reminds me of Montel Jordan’s 1995 hit song, ‘This Is How We Do It.’ 5 degrees from top universities, including @StanfordLaw. No fake degrees, just the right way. Read, write, research, and produce knowledge. Congratulations to you, my brother @RKirunda, upon your graduation. A true academic giant. We can now proudly call you Dr. Kirunda. Now we have to reconvene at Plot 2 to toss to this and more. The only one holding us back is @JGkibande. Mate, finish up your Ph.D study and do not deny us a fine celebration. For me, I am already a witchdoctor 😂

Her Excellency @JanetMuseveni , (Maama Janet), you have been a beacon of compassion and strength for Uganda. From founding the Uganda Women's Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) to championing the education of our children and the empowerment of rural women through NSARWU, your life reflects selfless service. @DuncanAbigaba Duncan, my brother, Tugume, is no Dr. Please follow the @nche_uganda guidelines on the use of such titles. Listing him alongside Ian Clark, Prof Pamela demeans the hard work these fellows have put in their academic pursuits.
