I haven’t written anything new in a while but have been circling around some loose ideas for a new feature. Today had a bit of a breakthrough as I collated my ideas and found a possible way to fit it within my genre-bending style. My gut is screaming for me to keep pursuing it.

I’ve been quiet on here for many reasons — from losing my father in March, to having an atrocious year as a freelance TV editor with no TV to cut — but I did want to share some good on here: my short film has had the privilege of screening at 6 different festivals so far!

@alexanderchard @stevemoth @Coverfly This is so unbelievably frustrating. It’s literally never been more challenging to find representation, get optioned or a greenlight. The takeaway is to find the investors directly and do the dang thing ourselves, I guess?

This meeting was a big success. I officially have a new acting talent agent! Moving forward I’ll be repped by Matt Jackson at Arise Artists Agency. Arise have repped me commercially for over 5 years, and it feels great to have theatrical under the same roof. Let’s do this!!

I have a meeting with a theatrical agent tomorrow. For the last 7 years my manager has looked after my Film/TV submissions here in the US and back in Australia. Would be a great way to start 2025 with a driven and hungry team to take things to the next level! Let's go!
