A three-member panel ruled in the NFL's favor on the NFLPA's appeal of the January 2025 dismissal by system arbitrator Christopher F. Droney of the union's 2022 case alleging improper collusion, source says, as @ProFootballTalk reported.

I’ll never understand the logic behind giving a team with the worst record in the league better odds of getting 5th (47.9%) vs. landing a T3 pick (40.1%) Like… there’s a higher probability of dropping to 5 than any of the bottom 3 teams getting the No. 1 pick (42.0%)

Ilya Protas will indeed make his NHL debut tomorrow night, centering a line with brother Aliaksei Protas and Tom Wilson.

@SleeperMiami Achane being the only good player on your entire offense is definitely an approach.

The 1929 #Packers went undefeated. Their defense gave up 1.38 points per game. If you don't put them on the list, change the title to "Most Dominant NFL Teams Of The Super Bowl Era." If you don't mean "all time," quit saying "all time."

@DynoDangle @ChnRstrntKng @IslesCave Overachieving means one of two related things: -doing better than expected -doing better than would be expected based on performance (i.e., performing in a manner that is statistically probably unsustainable) Both are "good," but the latter does lead to doubt. Both apply here.

@ChnRstrntKng @IslesCave I just feel like you're spinning everything I'm saying into something else. Overachieving doesn't even always necessarily mean a team is actually bad. Even if that's what 99.9% of what people think around us. I just feel like people are misinterpreting the meaning.

I realize that no matter where you stand on how you view the #isles, you certainly can twist any quote to fit your narrative. That's why I will give my take on this quote from Mathieu Darche earlier; “Let's face it, we got away with some stuff during the year where our goaltender had been outstanding.” A lot of people jumping to say this means they overachieved. I personally don't. I think that means there were system issues. Issues that he thinks can be remedied by a coach with a different approach. If he thought the team was that bad and overachieving, you don't bring in the premier coach available with this type of timing. Not if you don't think they're capable of making a run.

@_jbaap @FBGreatMoments Urlacher made 8 in 13 seasons competing against Ray Lewis, Zach Thomas, Lofa Tatupu, Jeremiah Trotter, and, briefly, Patrick Willis--a less impressive but still very formidable group. In all, he was a little better at a much less valuable position.

@_jbaap @FBGreatMoments Samuels played at the same time as Ogden, Pace, Roaf, Willie Anderson, Jason Peters, and, and briefly, Joe Thomas and Tony Boselli, and he still went to 6 pro bowls in 9 seasons before spinal stenosis ended his career. That's the only reason he isn't in the HoF.

@_jbaap @FBGreatMoments It doesnt matter because the same team drafted them both here, but you're asking why someone would draft an elite franchise left tackle instead of an inside linebacker.

One of the points made in favor of drafting Jeremiyah Love early is that it would help (insert young QB). But how much does a star RB actually help vs a good OL or great WR? Discussed on the pod with @nate_tice and @dannybkelly

@minakimes @Nate_Tice @DannyBKelly Fair enough. However, you are comparing a singular RB to a good OL. Thats 1 against 5. It would be better to compare the impact of a good RB to a good Guard.
