@Nick_FromBoston @MikeMutnansky Cassel went on to be a Pro Bowler in KC. Garoppolo made a Super Bowl. The other two have decade plus careers. That’s an incredible crop of backups that you won’t find anyone matching.
He isn’t being hired because he’s old and his personal life is a mess. Both irrelevant.

Cassel had Moss and Welker the one season with Bill when they won 11. Garoppolo was not great. Bringing up Brissett is sad.
Why do you think out of all 11 coaching openings this offseason not one team has requested an interview with him?
He had 200 games without Brady, that a pretty good sample size.

@Nick_FromBoston @MikeMutnansky You realize Brady was his quarterback for the vast majority of Bill’s career, right? Not like he had a ton of young failures.
And he did develop pretty damn well behind him. Cassel, Garoppolo, Brissett, Hoyer all had pretty long successful careers for guys who had to be backups.
