Maybe Harris should just call Trump’s bluff and agree to a FoxNews debate? As long as the moderators are chosen from the news division and not commentary, they wouldn’t be -that- biased against her, and it’s not like they’re going to magically make Trump more disciplined.

@NateSilver538 Totally agree on Fahrenheit. Sorting by departure time in an international context makes sense though, since alphabetical order might be tough to parse for someone who doesn't know the language.

I'm glad the new LGA is an "international quality" airport. But the American tradition of listing flights in order of destination rather than departure time is clearly better, so this is a mistake. Almost as bad as thinking Celsius is better than Fahrenheit.

@leedrutman I appreciate that you refer to this system as “Top 4” and not “RCV” like everyone else seems to. The issues with AK’s system stem from the jungle primary and -not- RCV. RCV can be adopted (for both generals & primaries) while retaining partisan primaries (e.g. Maine).

Very personally specific trivia: Tim Walz has now replaced Paul Rudd as the most famous living person who shares my birthday. He’s exactly 15 years older than me, and exactly 5 years older than Rudd.

@ChazNuttycombe The concern over Kelly’s Senate seat is overrated. Dems would control it for the 1st two years, and even if they lose it, it would be up again in 2028. Most importantly, almost all real impact of a modern presidential administration comes in the first two years anyway.

@ChazNuttycombe While Kelly is my #1 preference for VP, Beshear is pretty close behind. I can see good arguments for both, and they have very different profiles. I can’t see the benefit of Cooper over Beshear; they seem similar with Beshear just a bit better on several dimensions.

The fact the Harris campaign's posting this makes me believe it's Beshear.

I see a few mustaches (notably Dewey in 44/48), but no full beards since Charles Evans Hughes in 1916.

Shouldn’t MLB #ASG selections factor in performance from the 2nd half of last season? It’s always seemed strange/unfair to me that only the 1st half of any season matters for these honors.

that President Biden drop out of the race and a new nominee be chosen at the Democratic convention.  If President Biden is unwilling to step aside after private consultation, I would also urge you and other Democratic leaders to publicly ask him to withdraw. (cont.)
