Built a set of booms for the back of the air cart. Mounted cameras and processor from farmtech maps the rocks in real time and we can follow the app to pick them. No per acre fees! Buy the system once and use it every year.

@pencejm Stainless steel strip indicating 10L increments .. called. A “shuttle guage “ brand im pretty sure . Got it from local supplier ., I’ll get a better photo of it.. get your self more than one , to leave at all locations you fill from . Pain in the arse when I can’t find it

best way I’ve found to draw chem from shuttles, flush the hose , and have it empty ready for the next. Done it this way for a fair while now, but should have long time ago. Im sharing it coz I know a lot of farmers have some wild setups.Exposing themself to it. Any improvements ?

@Maddog6461 @LowBoomLowDrift We’ve built something similar with a 9 x product QuickDraw. Holds about 24 x totes plus pallets of ammo and granules. We’ve got water tanks spread across the farm.

@brendanw59 @BlaseFarms With 18m seeder and TBT box when we turn to get tractor 5m from fence. Hairpin turns. This could be an issue for you? With Cat tractor the implement needs to lift at correct time so as not to affect turning procedure as drive goes to 1 track.

@BlaseFarms Got a few more headlands to do because the radars don’t let you get v close to the fence. If no fence much better and on square turns rather than the angled ones. You can get the teardrop turns happening but they take a little more room and are best on square turns.

Pretty impressive being able to work right into the triangular corner autonomously.

@brendanw59 Good work. Any implement size limitations? Obstacle detection range? Does tractor need CVT transmission? Implement lift tied in with turn procedure?

@ToddQuinlivan It may reduce the inaccuracy ratio but probably wouldn’t eliminate it.

We’ve made a batch tank using a 2nd hand tank. Original site gauge Setup is accurate for water but when we put a FlexiN mix in there the sight gauge can over read by 700 L in a 6000 L batch. Using 19mm ID hose. Any suggestions to improve accuracy?

@MeredithGuthr15 @DPIRDbroadacre Hi Meredith, Great data. Is it possible to map flowering and grain fill period vs vegetative development. Some of the anomalies may be attributed to the dry season with no rainfall until late May for some areas?

Another @DPIRDbroadacre thermal time, or growing degree day map, 31 October. If you take 20C as being an average day, you can calculate how far from the median you are. Median 1975-2023. Rushy Pool (near Narrogin) 23 days behind median, Goodlands 42 days in front! #climate

@Tedthekelpie In the old days when we had fences and the 0 line was the first pass, we instructed drivers to do run 0 with the fence on their right, and then continue the odds/evens direction. Mostly worked pretty well
