Genuine question about the BlueCo model how exactly are you meant to increase the value of young, inexperienced players if the team isn’t winning consistently? Granted the CWC was a success but it’s not Premier League or Champions League levels. Look at the signings. A lot of them either aren’t good enough or were badly scouted. Outside of Palmer (and maybe Estaveo), where’s the huge resale upside? For every Veiga there’s a Gittens where we’ve clearly overpaid and who just isn’t a very good footballer. Are we honestly recouping Enzo’s fee? Probably not. Even Caicedo is a stretch. So is this actually about football success, or is it just about selling players at peak amortisation value and balance-sheet optics? It all feels flawed. Too many inflated roles, with an evident lack of proper football people in key roles. Maybe someone like David Weir helps with his playing background but even then they don’t bring anyone who isn’t a “yes man”. Change is needed across the board at Chelsea and BlueCo. We as fans need to keep the pressure on.
