LAWSUIT UPDATE RE: NATIONAL GUARD IN PORTLAND: The Ninth Circuit just paused the three-judge panel’s order on our first TRO until Tuesday so they can complete their en banc vote. This means for now, both our TROs preventing National Guard deployment remain in effect.

If you want a Mayor you can trust, don’t rank Rene. - Falsely accused Black woman of assault. - Aligned with far right groups that oppose LGTBQ+ rights. - Used taxpayer dollars to polish his Wikipedia page to hide his right wing support. Please share! dontrankrene.org

Decisions that impact SEIU members’ wages, benefits, and working conditions are made by elected officials — from local governments to the legislature and beyond. Let's elect pro-union champions who will work with us like Dan Rayfield! @DanRayfield 🟣Find our full list of endorsements for WA and OR and how to volunteer here: seiu49.org/news/gotv2024 #gotv #orpol #2024election #oregonpolitics #strongertogether #unionstrong #prolabor #prounion

I am standing with over 85,000 workers across Kaiser Permanente who have authorized a strike because patients and healthcare workers deserve better. Kaiser has the means to address its staffing crisis and properly care for patients. It's time for Kaiser to bargain in good faith.
SEIU Local 49@seiu49

WE ARE READY TO STRIKE—The results are in and an overwhelming 98% voted YES to strike! Read the full announcement here: seiu49.org/news/kaiser-07

Kaiser was once known as the gold standard for healthcare—but they have abdicated that role by refusing to work together with its frontline healthcare workers to keep patients safe by resolving its staffing crisis. It’s time to stand with our @seiu49 healthcare heroes!

I'm in solidarity with Kaiser workers who are standing up for patients, and support all efforts to work together to improve our healthcare system and solve the staffing crisis. No healthcare provider should have to take on 2-3 jobs to make ends meet.

1/2 Our frontline workers keep hospitals running but they’re the unsung heroes of the healthcare workforce. The work Kaiser and @seiu49 are doing to establish better workplace environments and in turn, support employees’ off the clock and with their families, is invaluable.

There is a staffing crisis in the healthcare industry. Kaiser can afford to address its staffing shortages and patient care crisis but is choosing not to. Patients deserve better and so do healthcare workers.
