@Aunt_Mill @globeandmail I agree with you on that. I keep my money in equities, hard assets, and crypto. I have minimal fiat, only enough for regular expenses. I don't think most ppl should long the CAD either, trading Forex is not easy. It's impacted by many things besides inflation.

@NiftEarts @globeandmail The reality is, if you were holding savings in CAD in the last 5 years, you lost around 35% of that wealth. Not sure why anyone would "go long" on any cash (guaranteed loss) but if one must keep savings in cash, CHF is the way to go. Gold, Silver, even S&P all better options.

@Aunt_Mill @globeandmail 7th is absolutely respectable relative to all currencies in the world. It's stable and reliable enough to hold for the rest of our lifetime. It's backed by the entirety of Canada's natural resources and a stable political and financial system. It's not collapsing anytime soon.

@LarkDavis The whole industry doesn't revolve around these ATMs. It's more gimmicky than practical. Everyone I know in crypto uses an exchange and mobile wallet. These ATMs are mostly used by scammers to steal money from naive people.
