Its been a quieter start to the year at Kenfig NNR than last year & numbers of many species are also down since the end of the cold snap. Just two Purple Sandpipers have been recorded at Sker though 29 Ringed Plovers there included some already in courtship mode.

This is why I don’t take government assurances at face value.
Over many months, I’ve raised several questions about Afghan resettlement.
The Government has repeatedly failed to answer basic questions on crime statistics.
Other queries have been refused on grounds of cost.
Many politicians supported Abd El-Fattah, believing the narrative he was a “pro-democracy activist”.
This case shows why it’s important to ask questions.
I’ll continue to scrutinise Afghan resettlement in the Vale of Glamorgan.
I’ll carry on demanding answers that have to date been withheld.
As a representative, that’s my job.

🚨 This is insane!
A teacher in his 50s was referred — as a priority — to the government’s counter-terrorism programme for showing videos of Donald Trump, the democratically elected President of the United States, @POTUS.
His teaching was described as “radical” and said to have caused “emotional harm” to students.
He also showed videos of the former Democratic presidential candidate, @KamalaHarris — unsurprisingly, no complaints there.
The teacher, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “They likened me to a terrorist. It was completely jarring. It’s dystopian — like something from a George Orwell novel.”
Henley College and the local safeguarding authorities have serious questions to answer.
This is one of a growing number of sinister examples of safeguarding protocols — designed to protect children from murderers and rapists — being weaponised for political reasons.
