Not asking for a free-for-all, just whether DBKL could consider allowing scooters back in residential feeder areas with clear rules. It really helped with last-mile connectivity. Thanks

Hi @hannahyeoh hope you don’t mind me asking as a KL resident. Would it be possible to check with @DBKL2u if they can relook the policy on shared e-scooters like Beam in housing areas like Sri Petaling?

@hannahyeoh @DBKL2u When Beam was around, it made last-mile to Bukit Jalil LRT genuinely easy. I used to scooter from my condo, no waiting, no car. After they were removed, I tried buses and DRT properly, but DRT can be very hit or miss and sometimes you wait longer than a bus.

@Xiaomi please get your app ecosystem fixed up. I got a Xiaomi scale and it doesn't work with mi fitness app or Zepp and only with your smarthome app. At least make them interoperable with each other. It makes no sense that the scale can't be added to the mi fitness app

@fatcatlim Yeh but it's been longstanding for Korea to adapt webtoons and webnovels into live action. They've done a bunch so far like Yumi cells, Fashion King, Reborn rich etc. Quite surprised they didn't do it with solo levelling earlier

Barely a week before @nothing launches Phone (3) and everything has slowed down. No news of release or event here at all. If Malaysia doesn't get a drop, and Nothing wants to focus on the Indian market so bad - I guess I might give the 3 a miss and return to Honor after my initial dedication to Nothing, since Magic V5 is looking sexy. Even @getpeid seems busy these days and Nothing probably just wants to cater to India and eventually US more. Oh well...

On a more serious note, many have pointed out how the US tariff slapped on Malaysia is lower versus most of Asean Yes, if this lasts long, it may encourage relocation towards Malaysia But be mindful of demand destruction. It’s still quite a steep tariff versus previously

@amerhadiazmi Not weighing in on KJ. But Malaysia needs to recognise: the US civil service isn’t what it was. DOGE is actively weakening the system we used to rely on for diplomatic continuity. Also recent appointments show they’re not interested in continuity, they’re installing loyalists.

Trump’s a wildcard, sure, but US policy is still realised by civil servants trying to keep things steady. We should send a career diplomat—someone with a steady hand to navigate the turbulence—not our own maverick.

Today I made spaghetti alle vongole for lunch and made (ugly) bowl of steamed eggs, miso soup from seaweed and bonito leftovers from making dashi and reheated frozen egg and chicken fried rice. Pasta was 58grams and when cooked expands to about 100g and rice 100g.
