@EileenFindlay3 I’m not 100% certain. The river has a history of flooding and can become very volatile. I think it may, in part because to manage erosion and stabilise the banks. It also has an aesthetic appeal.

We found some water for an evening dip. This is Cascade du Morel, consisting of almost 60 👀 small cascades and one large one with an 80m drop, we haven’t made it up there yet.
