Unlike in 2006 & 2018 cycles, the GOP actually leads the Dems on net favorability at this point! The national environment suggests GOP holding the Senate. Why? Generic ballot (Dems in a weaker position than 2006 or 2018), Senate map (Dems need pickups in red states) & history.

Mushroomy mushroom skull update:
I painted a few coats of titanium white on the upper part of the skull. The area needing base decoupage is on the underside and I can do that later.
It needs a coat of mod podge over the top, but the centerpiece is placed!
Done for the dayt.

The party has changed throughout history, that's why I'm not giving up.
We have wins but also many losses, we have a two party system so I have no choice but to organize in the Democratic Party.

@tualgorithm @WendyClapp1 I guess since I live in West Virginia (Morgantown specifically) I don't worry about a nuclear hit UNLESS it's an epic hit on DC...and even then most projections suggest I'm relatively safe.

@WendyClapp1 @NighttfallNF It’s not easy facing our mortality like this, when we had gotten past the worst of our fears by the very fact of things being so stable and predictable for so long. There are 3 nuke plants in our vicinity. We get the iodine tablets in the mail.
I’m not sure I would take them.

If a leader of a country with nukes says "I might nuke your country tomorrow" then doesn't the leader of the target country have the moral responsibility to stop the leader of the threatening country?

@WendyClapp1 @tualgorithm I'd wait and see how bad the fallout might be considering the fact I don't think Washington State or parts of Oregon will get nuked. Montana....maybe.

@tualgorithm Yes, The drive to do something is making me a little crazy should I be ordering those pills you take for radiation exposure for my family? Should I be stocking up on plastic and duct tape? It's my worst gen x nightmares that I thought were behind me.
