Un conocido mío tiene 35 años, está casado y ha decidido no tener hijos. Entre él y su pareja ingresan unos 300.000 dólares al año y tienen la casa casi liquidada. Destinan una buena parte de sus ganancias a la jubilación, se permiten varios viajes al año y llevan una vida cómoda. Tengo la sensación de que gente como él acabará arrepintiéndose de esa decisión con el paso del tiempo. Cuando sea mayor, lo único que podrá mirar atrás serán los caprichos y cosas prescindibles en las que fue gastando el dinero. En lugar de invertirlo en formar una familia, ha optado por el consumo sin más. Personalmente me parece una forma de vida bastante vacía y sin sustancia.
