If we look at just press freedom. China is one of the worst countries in the world, competing for the top spot at the bottom (!) with North Korea & Eritrea.
«China is the world’s largest jailer of journalists, with more than 100 currently detained», according to RSF.
What’s interesting is that the world has followed this development.
We know it. The violations on this & human rights has gotten the coverage.
The decline in India has not, in my opinion.
