Even as the world focuses on finance, it’s important to note the failure of parties to agree on the Global Stocktake (GST) text after two weeks of negotiations. This delays urgent action and erodes the last bit of trust when every moment counts in addressing the climate crisis.

The finance goal text is an insult to those most impacted by the climate crisis. Global North countries must step up—failure to deliver risks derailing the Paris Agreement’s objectives and undermining multilateralism at this critical COP.

Whether it is the just concluded #SB60 or @UNFCCC conferences, our membership which comprises of indigenous and youth grassroots folk are continuously facing barriers to accessing these spaces. As youth working in grassroots, we have seen the massive gaps in policy and action. We want positive transformative change. So when it comes to advocacy, we see chance to bring about meaningful change in our communities, pulling together meager resources to pay the exorbitant visa processing fees by the TLS visa centers only to be slapped by visa denials - when all the documents have been provided. This is after months of preparations. @AuswaertigesAmt @GermanyDiploIt is time to end #VisaInjustice or @UNFCCC just move the conferences to countries where we can access without visa barriers #ClimateJustice #EqualAccess #SB60
