@faelures_ Bonus points where I am is maybe 2-3 hours of daylight and if you go any further north they just function in permanent darkness for several months

My take on the current hot topic of simming: I don't care what people do on their own time to complete an ultimate. I do think it cheapens the prog experience a bit, but if they just want to minimize time spent getting the reward then go for it. Literally doesn't affect me.

man world 1st is such a disappointment to everyone who's been actively showing their prog. i genuinely thought we were only considering teams that streamed for this race. like genuinely, im so confused what is and isnt allowed for these races, but damn. okay i guess?

@Rioriii @chriswolfe_91 It's the macro being hit before anything happens and any marks are shown over the players' heads.
If there's a way to tell where everybody needs to go before anything happens normally in a mechanic with (possibly) 8 different variations, I haven't seen it yet.

I've followed WoW world first races and UMAD is way more fun. The entire fight is a secret beforehand and it's designed like a gladiatorial arena where the community watches anyone insane enough to try suffer for our amusement while they literally get clowned on

AM is not cheating, it's just removing the responsibility from 1 cuck who has to mark multiple people for the mechanics
The fights are clearable without it, but TOP for example would be miserable in PF.
If you think that AM = cactbot/splatoon you're dishonest or uninformed.

My raiding hot take is that automarker should have the same community disdain toward it that cactbot has. It's kind of crazy that it is considered the default way to do some mechanics when it is pretty explicitly cheating in the same way cactbot is

@ArakonePiro I think it's quite arrogant to say "you don't deserve the clear" just cause AM. AM is mostly used to help pf out where comms is near impossible. Do you want pf to be consistent or not? Do you wanna spend months on months to prog or you rather clear?

You can cope as much as you want but AM is and will always be cheating. Most ppl simply do not deserve their clear.

i've only ever cleared TOP with AM, but my biggest annoyance with AM was once PF collectively decided that P5 was "okay" to use AM for, they started using it for EVERYTHING that could have automarker lol (at least shortly after top came out, maybe it's not so bad now idk i haven't pfed much recently)
why tf do we need AM for DOTH, Wroth, P2 Transition, Blue Screen?? do a conga line, use your eyeballs, make a self-targetting marker macro
like I GET IT, top p5 is tough without someone manually marking people or just using AM, but like do we REAALLY need AM for the thunder spreads in nael???
