Excellent diagram. The challenge is in resource allocation. When steps 1-5 take so much time, how much can you focus on step 6? Even the space allocation of step 6 is telling. Let’s use AI to help with 1-5. And focus humans on 6. Time for change. Eh?

It’s unfortunate. But payment frauds like this remind us of the importance of bank controls and real-time cash visibility. If access to bank account data stays limited to only one or two people, it’s harder to catch transaction level fraud.

We hear this tension all the time with treasurers. Especially at PE-backed companies. Your north star metric can drive significantly different decisions. That's OK, as long as we recognize these pros and cons of each.
