Justice is now being pursued for Kenyan women in Nanyuki affected by past abuses associated with British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK), marking an important step toward accountability.

I’m bloody sick of this bastard eyeing up the $80 million the USA set aside to help curb the spread of Ebola. It’s honestly depressing to see our country treated like a dumping ground for every bit of rubbish.🥲😭 @fnoluga , @NPHIKenya be ashamed.

“Kenya has a strong laboratory capacity led by Kenya Medical Research Institute with highly qualified personnel capable of testing samples, including those related to the Ebola Bundibugyo outbreak reported in neighbouring countries,” ~ Dr. Ouma Oluga, P.S Medical Services.

The KDF’s swift delivery of the Wajir Stadium, ahead of Madaraka Day, raises a broader policy question: should we expand their role in public infrastructure like schools, hospitals and dams, where delays and inflated costs are the norm? @AyubAbdikadir shows the transformation!

My English friend, who’s an Arsenal F.C. fan, asked me today about the frequent celebrations in Nairobi after Arsenal won the Premier League, and whether people there still keep normal work schedules during the day. I was honestly about to tell him they’re just fucking idlers. It's really embarrassing 😭😹

It seems surprising that someone in Nairobi would believe the EPL trophy was brought from here in England to Kenya for fans to celebrate . The Premier League trophy is always moved under official arrangements, with security personnel and league representatives ensuring its protection, and any international appearance must be formally approved and coordinated by the Premier League as its custodian. Furthermore there is no official communication from @Arsenal and @premierleague handles .

@Dan_ngare “Yeah, I know — bit of a waste of time, my bad. Should’ve been comparing British and Kenyan fan celebrations; Nairobi’s a bit over the top. You’ve got another one on Sunday, right?”

@AbdulahiAdan10 At this rate the government should reconsider by all means possible ways of creating jobs for the youths . It's really depressing to see the youthful energy going waste while English fans are flat out🥲😭

The borders between the DRC and Uganda are reportedly closed to curb the spread of Ebola viruses. Meanwhile, Americans are waiting for the approval of Kenyan authorities to assent to the “dumping” of people infected with Ebola.

Truly concerning scenes: grown adults in Nairobi proudly gathering to receive a trophy for Arsenal — a club based thousands of miles away in England — ceremonially handed over by a rented white bloke for that extra touch of “authenticity”. Peak modern football. What a time to be alive 😭😹😹
