I don't force students to learn. I make the environment and invite them into it. It's up to them to bring the internal motivation to learn. A teacher can only lead you to the water well. You've got to drink the water.

I'm not about memorizing endless vocabulary words just for them to disappear from my memory in a month. It's use it or lose it when it comes to language learning. Let's stop flushing our time down the toilet. Use what you learn. Actively. Every day.

This year has been insanely good to me. It's weird. To be honest with all of you, I don't even know how to handle the happiness I'm feeling right now. Because, well... I'm not used to it. But I am forever grateful to be on this journey, evolving as a human being. In a couple of weeks I will be achieving one my biggest goals ever: - Moving to a new country. Growing up in a poor neighborhood in Brazil, dreaming this big was almost a crime. "Impossible" they said. "You're crazy!" they said. Well, I guess being delusional is paying off. This is something I've been wanting to do for more than a decade. And now it's finally happening. The visa is approved and I'm actually going. It's hard not to get emotional. But I want to take a moment here to share how grateful I am. 1) I'm grateful that I got to know like minded people who push me to be better. And I hope that I find the courage to open up, be vulnerable and make long lasting friends. 2) I'm grateful to be able to share my interests online and be a part of something greater than me. 3) I'm grateful to be healthy after years of dealing with pain and suffering — I needed to learn the lesson. 4) I'm grateful to have an amazing and supporting wife that I want to build a family with. 5) I'm grateful that I finally built up the courage to start creating content — I know this will be the catalyst for the freedom I'm looking for. And last but definitely not least, I'm grateful to you. Yes, you there reading this long a** text. lol Thank you for being here. Sometimes when we scroll too much is easy to forget that we are all humans. Trying our best, day after day. That we have feelings, ideas and aspirations. I don't want to ever forget that. To forget who I am and my purpose. I don't want to forget that every word I write will impact people in one way or another. And that influence (however small it may be right now) is a responsiblity I don't take for granted. And one last thing... Don't be offended by God. You think somehow you can do better than Him. That His way of doing things isn't up to your standards. Sounds odd when it's said that way. But that's a lot of people. Even the best of us.
