Have you ever wondered what it feels like for a government school student to learn directly from corporate professionals? For many students from underprivileged backgrounds, such opportunities can seem almost unimaginable. Yet, when they get the chance to learn from industry leaders, it opens their eyes to new possibilities, builds their confidence, and inspires them. To strengthen students’ employability and prepare them for future careers, @EPAM_India, with its 54 volunteers, in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization, organized a 2-Day Residential Camp at Don Bosco, #Hyderabad, for two cohorts of its supported school students on March 7 and 8, 2026. The program was conducted in a hybrid format, bringing together 137 students from Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Delhi, who gained valuable exposure through highly engaging sessions on Soft Skills, Workplace Etiquette, Introduction to AI & ML, Job Readiness, Resume Building, Communication Skills, and Mock Interviews. With students actively asking questions and volunteers addressing their doubts through practical industry experience, the sessions helped them better understand workplace expectations and feel more confident about their future careers. In a landmark step to bring world-class AI education to the heart of India's Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, Redington Foundation(@csrredington), in partnership with @Microsoft and Nirmaan Organization, has launched AI Learning Centres across Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; Nagpur, Maharashtra; Indore, Madhya Pradesh and Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Nirmaan Organization recently hosted first Young Scientists Expo 2026 at the MPCC Cultural Complex, State Gallery of Art, #Hyderabad. Over 250 students from 50+ government schools came together to showcase their curiosity, creativity, and innovation through exciting science, technology, and robotics projects. These students are part of the schools supported by Nirmaan through our STEM & Robotics Program, which focuses on making science learning hands-on and engaging through activities like competitions, STEM fairs, and lab visits. The expo featured both Working Models and Exhibit Projects, with students participating across Junior and Senior categories at Advanced, Intermediate, and Basic levels. The most inspiring projects were recognized with the Young Innovator Award (1st Place), Future Scientist Award (2nd Place), and Creative Thinker Award (Consolation). Some of the standout working models included Waste to Energy by GHS Raj Bhavan, a Humanoid Robot by GHS Golconda, Automatic Street Light by KGBV Sankarpally, and an Automatic Fire Extinguisher by ZPHS Ganjularamaram. Creative exhibit projects such as Local Spices for Sustainable Phyto by ZPHS Medchal Girls, Waste Management by ZPHS Yellamabanda, Human Brain by ZPHS Hydernagar, and DNA Extraction from Fruits by GGHS Nampally also impressed the audience. The expo was a wonderful reminder that when students are given the right exposure and opportunities, their ideas can truly shine. What if learning extended beyond textbooks and onto the school walls? Thoughtfully designed artwork on school walls carrying messages of sustainability, cleanliness, biodiversity, and social responsibility can subtly shape young minds each day and gradually contribute to building a more conscious and responsible society. To instill awareness, @CGI_Global, with its 30 volunteers, in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization, organized a School Wall Painting Activity at MGM Government Girls High School, Nampally, on March 1, 2026. Designed under the Public Space Beautification Project, an initiative that aims to transform underutilized walls of government schools and public spaces into educational and socially themed murals, the event also witnessed the participation of 213 girl students. We are delighted to share the successful completion of a meaningful volunteering initiative supported by Nasuni. On 25th February 2026, @Nasuni joined hands with nirmaan.org for a community outreach activity at ZPHS Narsinghi. As part of the initiative, 180 school bags along with stationery kits were distributed to students, equipping them with essential learning materials and encouraging them in their academic journey. Beyond the distribution, the interaction between the volunteers and students created moments of encouragement, inspiration, and joy. Such engagements play an important role in strengthening the learning environment for young students and reminding them that their aspirations matter. @Experian, with its 10 volunteers, in collaboration with Nirmaan Organization, organized a Team Lead interaction for over 75 girls at SRD Home for Girls, Afzalgunj, #Hyderabad. The children confidently shared their daily routines, Three Sisters Committees, and Bala Sabha activities, reflecting their strong sense of unity. A friendly debate with the volunteers encouraged open communication, confidence, and teamwork. The event was honoured by the presence of the Managing Director of Experian, who traveled from Canada and was deeply moved by the children’s stories, highlighting the strength of genuine human connection beyond borders. It was also graced by Tim Conroy, SVP, UKI Client Delivery and Neethu Ramakrishnan, Director of Testing, who engaged warmly with the children and were equally moved by their stories. The day concluded with joyful Holi celebrations, followed by a heartfelt lunch service and the presentation of a steel plate rack by the volunteers. Every year, for us at Nirmaan, celebrating National Science Day with the students we empower at government schools is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of the year. And this year was no different. We witnessed more enthusiastic participation of 1,223 students across GHS Marla in NCR, Prathiba Parwar School in Pune, GMHSS Arumbakkam, GHSS Velachery in Chennai, and ZPHS Ramanthapur, ZPHS Indiranagar, GGHS Siddipet in #Telangana. It was truly inspiring to see our students showcase 557 creative and innovative science projects, each one built with their own hands, their own thinking, and their own curiosity. Selecting the winners was challenging as every single participant gave their best. Nirmaan Organization was honoured to be invited to the inauguration cum exhibition of the Telangana Chapter of the India Hand Made Collective (IHMC) Pavilion at the Indira Mahila Shakti Bazar (IMSB), #Hyderabad, held from March 6 to 8. IHMC, an organization that brings artisans onto a common platform and addresses the challenges they face, is now at #IMSB, a Government of #Telangana platform that provides women with free marketplace to showcase and sell their handmade products. The three-day event features store lunch and an exhibition of handspun and handwoven fabrics, clothing, crafts, skincare products, jewellery, toys, cookware, and gift sets. Visitors can also join hands-on workshops and explore the experience centre. Women artisans were also informed about SWASHA, an e-commerce platform that enables women artisans to showcase and sell their products, giving them an opportunity to expand their reach.
