1/8. Most Indians see the Big Fat Indian Wedding as a national achievement and are not put off by it, according to TV commentary, including on BBC. Really? Did BBC, anyone, do a poll/survey of most Indians? People hit the streets for what they see as a national achievement – like to greet the returning T20 world cup winning team. Anyone seen Mumbaikars dancing on the streets to celebrate the Ambani wedding? #ambaniwedding #psainath

NEET exam should be stopped, the first victim of this exam was a dalit girl Anitha who was from Tamilnadu, she had scored 1176/1200 marks in 12th exam, she wanted to become a doctor, NEET ruined her dreams, she even went to the Supreme Court against NEET, but her petition was rejected, ultimately she committed suicide.

1/5. Never mind the entries thrown up on google search, please stop calling Indian languages ‘vernacular.’ There’s a colonial context to the use of the word in the British Raj – from the older Latin origin: tongues of the home-born slave.

Evidence from our paper on who is 'able' to use electricity as heat waves hit Delhi. It's certainly not the slum dwellers and people are forced to work outdoors.

Hey #EconTwitter can we please get mad and radicalised about @PrincetonEcon PhD student Hassan Sayed being expelled for his support of Palestine and @EmoryEconomics prof Caroline Fohlin being brutalised by state police amongst Gaza Solidarity protesters?
