The scary part is that @stephenasmith strong suit is supposed to be basketball. It’s just embarrassing. This is the guy you give all this money to and he doesn’t even know the basic facts about a team. ESPN can sit here all day and tell me his ratings. People are “hate watching”. Or even worse, they are watching to mock how bad it is. It’s akin to the later years of Mike Francesa at WFAN. Where people watched to hear the crank calls or to watch him falling asleep at the mic. It’s getting to that level of bad for ESPN when it comes to SAS. I don’t know anybody that watches him because they think they are getting anything substantive out of him. And that isn’t sustainable. I say it all the time. People don’t know what they like, they like what they know. Not. One. Person.
