@jvdallimore At first glance it’s fine but I think there were a couple of issues eg “Account for the perspective” of a 1928 Stresemann source links better to the odd syllabus than the new one. I wasn’t that keen on the framing of Q4. Some of the conflict questions are quite challenging.

Today I have the privilege of participating in a training course for our Sounds Words and Aboriginal Yarning (SWAY) Program. Three days focusing on oral language and early literacy based on Aboriginal knowledge, culture and stories.

Next week I am presenting a webinar for the HTA on the Modern History Core. I will focus on last year's HSC paper but there will be some general advice as well. htansw.asn.au/pd/pd-sydney/v…

About two weeks ago, I received news that my brother Chris, who lived in Papua New Guinea, committed suicide. Still gathering info. He was a force of nature, to be sure. We fought like cat and dog growing up, but we understood each other. Oh, Chris ❤️

@MScali2 Our kids were relatively happy but I thought it was quite a challenging paper (esp considering the circumstances). I thought Q2 is quite difficult for 5 marks. Quite a few tricky qns. Some wording was also a little unusual. Seemed to be targeted at the most able students.

@asmansfield @MrMCimino There are things you won’t eat? I thought you just drew the line with endangered animals? Which other ones would you refuse to eat?

I made breakout room choice doors where Ss will "go" to during their work time. We're using Google Meet & I plan to link different Meet links to each 🚪so Ss can collaborate, work alone, or get extra help. Honoring differences & personalizing instruction! Feel free to use⬇️

I never questioned my mum’s Mock Turtle Soup growing up... only as an adult reading Mrs Beeton did I discover its ingredients. Scarred for life. #BackInTimeAU @ABCTV

@kelittlejohn @evia1974 My kids love to listen to podcasts in the car. You can download them in advance and no wifi is needed. Their current favourite is ABC’s Fierce Girls.

@RogersHistory It’s strange. I wonder how often people are actually “picked apart and judged”. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. I still find it so nerve wracking though, especially the questions at the end.

Bit sad to hear a couple of amazing ppl say to me "I don't want to present (within my subject community) in front of peers because I'll get picked apart and judged etc". Perhaps they are wrong? But if not, this atmosphere doesn't serve the profession well!
