She targeted five of the branch’s most vulnerable customers including an 85-year-old stroke survivor and a 49-year-old man with learning difficulties and stole a total of £8,605 between 2023 and 2024. She was caught when colleagues noticed her expensive lifestyle on Facebook: trips to Dubai, the Maldives, Indonesia, safaris in Africa, skiing holidays, Paris, Tuscany, Greek islands and Mexico, plus a personalised BMW convertible. Kershaw admitted five counts of fraud at Caernarfon Crown Court. She was jailed for 16 months. Nationwide reimbursed every victim in full. She has now been banned from working with vulnerable people and will face a proceeds of crime hearing.
