Troops of 149 Battalion Operation HADIN KAI in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have arrested a suspected teenage terrorist in Gubio town, Borno.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect, identified as Umar Zacharria, 15, was arrested at about 1:20 p.m. on May 14 during a joint operation by troops and CJTF operatives.
The sources said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect hailed from Jere Local Government Area and allegedly confessed to being among terrorists terrorising motorists along the Kareto general area.
According to the sources, the suspect is currently in the custody of the military for further investigation.

Reports have emerged indicating that some Christians youths in Mangu LGA of Plateau State, blocked the road to intercept Muslim travelers of Hausa-Fulani extraction. According to reports, these travelers were being taken into nearby neighborhoods and extrajudicially killed along the Mangu-Jos highway. A driver who witnessed the scene alleged that the incident occurred in the presence of security personnel. Furthermore, video footage has surfaced showing some of the youths armed with guns.
