@Noctisvelt no machines, no shortcuts, just ancient artists casually outclassing modern jewelry design 😭

The Grandidier's Baobab (Adansonia grandidieri) is a tree species endemic to Madagascar. Known as the "Tree of Life," its massive trunk stores thousands of liters of water to survive long periods of drought. They can live for over a thousand years.

@RaminNasibov Psyduck wasn’t just a Pokémon; he was a trailer for adulthood. Permanent headache, completely overwhelmed by existence, and only functioning when under extreme stress. I’ve never related to a fictional character more.

My favorite Pokémon is Psyduck. He can't do anything and always has a headache.

@interesting_aIl It shows how brutal the AI race has become. Big Tech isn't just cutting costs anymore; they are completely rebuilding their infrastructure around AI, even if it means losing 10% of their workforce overnight. Zuckerberg is right—success in this era isn't a given for anyone.

According to philosopher Nick Bostrom's Simulation Argument, if advanced civilizations exist, they would likely possess the technology to run realistic simulations of their ancestors. Given how fast our own VR and AI technologies are evolving today, the probability that we are living in a baseline reality might actually be much lower than we think. It sounds like sci-fi, but mathematically and philosophically, it's a legitimate hypothesis.

It's fascinating but scary how cinema history used to rely on toxic materials. Back then, asbestos was preferred for fake snow because it looked realistic and wasn't flammable. While The Wizard of Oz (1939) used it completely, It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) developed a safer foam mixture but still relied on asbestos for some background decorations.

Fun fact. The snow used in the Wizard of Oz was 100% asbestos, 1939. And the same happened in 1946 “It’s a Wonderful Life".

August 1908: A baseball team made up of child laborers from a glass factory in Indiana. Captured by sociologist and photographer Lewis Hine, this image served as crucial evidence in the campaign to reform child labor laws in the US.

Leo Tolstoy, captured in 1908 by Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky. This is not just a photograph; it is one of the earliest color portraits in existence, taken using a pioneering three-color photography process. To see the legendary author of War and Peace in true color, over a century later, feels like catching a glimpse through the window of time.
