Instead of punishing Blessed Mhlanga, a journalist who was only doing his job, the regime should deal with the pertinent issues raised by the interviewee, Blessed Geza.

The @CityofBulawayo has made a significant improvement to its emergency response services by introducing a new cellphone number specifically for fire and ambulance emergencies.
The newly launched number, +263 781 593 433, can be dialled by any resident in need of fire or ambulance assistance.
In addition to this cellphone number, the city has retained its traditional toll-free landline numbers, 993 and 994, which can be used for emergencies from landline telephones. Residents can also contact the services through the landline at (02922) 71717-9, which is accessible across all networks.
The City of Bulawayo has urged its residents to save these numbers on speed dial and stay aware of the updated contact details. Emergency numbers play a crucial role in safeguarding lives and property, and this update ensures faster connectivity and broader accessibility.

Concern has been expressed by many residents of @CityofBulawayo regarding the massive pothole at 3rd Avenue & Lobengula. Here is the update report given to me by City engineers this morning.
“Update on State of 3rd Ave eastbound approach to Lobengula Street Intersection
We acknowledge the condition of 3rd Avenue at the approach to the Lobengula Street intersection. The road pavement in this area has deteriorated due to wastewater issues and recent rains, which are not draining properly through the pipe culvert crossing Lobengula Street. To address this problem, we need to improve the stormwater drainage system on Lobengula Street between 3rd Avenue and 6th Avenue, which will require a complete reconstruction of the road. The pipe culverts are blocked and the teams failed to unblock these.
Once the drainage issues on Lobengula Street are resolved, we will shift our focus to reconstructing 3rd Ave eastbound approach to Lobengula Street.
The delay in addressing these issues has been caused by the prolonged closure of 3rd Avenue between Lobengula Street and Fort Street, which was closed to traffic for over six months. Now that 3rd Avenue has reopened to traffic, we will issue a notice next week to temporarily close Lobengula Street to begin the necessary improvement works around mid-March 2025.
The ongoing difficulty in patching potholes on the 3rd Avenue approach to Lobengula Street is mainly due to the constant flow of wastewater from nearby shops, which is unable to drain properly through blocked pipe culverts.”

The Zimbabwean government should stop the cruelty of arresting journalists. They're innocently doing their jobs. Bail is a constitutional right #FreeBlessedMhlanga #ZanuPFMustGo @ZANUPF_OFFICIAL @nickmangwana

“They’re trying to silence him, but Blessed Mhlanga remains Zimbabwe’s most independent and non-partisan journalist. His job is to report the news, not to take responsibility for what politicians say. He has been arrested, but the truth cannot be silenced. #FreeBlessedMhlanga”
