My 6 year old just asked me… “Dad, why don’t homeless people just get a job instead of asking for money?” How the heck do I respond to that? I simply responded that they could but choose not to.

Wrong answer. When you become homeless, on the street, you are now unemployable. You need an address and a phone. You need access to a shower and toiletries. Basic rent costs are out of reach for many. This has to be solved, first. On top of that, the job market is suffering, though the media propaganda tries to spin it. Stop blaming the homeless for the problem. Blame government.

I paid into SNAP for 20 years. Now that I need it I don’t mind the restrictions. I prefer water anyway. This will encourage lazy people to get a job. The sad part is that I am working and still in poverty. America wasn’t built on democratic values. It’s a constitutional republic. Do better.

The House just voted against banning soda from SNAP. Why should the government fund your soda purchases? If SNAP recipients want to buy sugary drinks, they can do it on their own dime, not on the backs of a taxpayer-funded nutrition program.

He was stopped by the caregiver, who forced the older man to turn around and walk in the opposite direction. When asked why, she claimed she was “teaching” him a lesson.
