Chris Hayes is already calling it, Christian Menefee wins, and Al Green is done. First Democratic incumbent to fall tonight.
Menefee ran on “generational change.” Translation: the old crazy is being replaced by the new, younger, even more unhinged crazy.

🚨 KEN PAXTON CRUSHES JOHN CORNYN
Ken Paxton just ran over Senator John Cornyn in the Texas Republican Senate runoff.
The crowd at Paxton's event erupted when the race was called. Jubilant doesn’t even cover it.
Trump dropped a last-minute endorsement last week and it worked like rocket fuel. One source said Paxton had been working for months to lock it in.
This was supposed to be a test of Trump’s grip on the party.
Looks like the grip is just fine.
Cornyn spent the final days warning that Paxton’s “personal and legal scandals” would be a disaster in November. The voters heard him… and chose Paxton anyway.
The consultants lost. The base won. Again.
