As someone who gets a kick out of observing and studying human behaviour. Airports are a perfect setting to satiate my curiosity. I can tell who are the first time travellers. There’s a certain unsettling energy they give. It is almost like combination of being lost, embarrassed, unsettled and restrained excitement. Then there are couples who are madly in love boasting a glow from early morning coitus. Young ladies flying out to their sugar daddies are never in short supply. With these ones the weave is as fresh as though it was installed a second ago, face-beat on point, eye lashes and eyebrows on fleek, they wear their signature uniform- those vagina revealing tights and they are typing away on their phone juggling multiple conversations, where there’s the sponsor of the trip who needs to be enticed, the main boyfriend who is left behind who must be managed, the friend who is in support of this parallel structure that’s funded the trip. Her facial expressions will give way as to who she is responding to on this text marathon. It’s 07:14. We are still waiting. Let me continue with my experiment of reading fellow travellers.
