@kylieoralobell No. Not proudly Jewish. Not meekly Jewish. Not visibly Jewish. Not invisibly Jewish. Not Jewish because I'm accepted. Not Jewish because I'm rejected. Not Jewish because it's safe. Not Jewish because it's unsafe. Just Jewish.

@KenanPerry I was about to say that it's unfair, and it's not mostly Arsim. Then I realized that even if you're wrong, it's not by much. And it breaks my heart, since it wasn't always this way. Sigh.

Israel isn't Portland, it's Miami. The biggest component in Israeli culture is arsim, because Israel is a Middle Eastern country, that's why it sucks so bad

@VeronicaTalbot9 Initially, no. I don't believe in retaliation, but I understand that Israel had to strike back, deter and neutralize the threat. Now, though, at a killing ratio of 1 to 30, and unprecedented destruction, it's not even about revenge... I'm not sure anybody knows what it's about.

Are we still beating this dead horse, trying to prove Hamas is a horrible terror organization and doesn't care about civilians? We already know that. The question is if this is enough of a justification to do what we're doing to the REST of Gaza population.

@KosherChutzpah @academic_la I think I see what you see, but interpret it differently both in proportions and in the solutions. In my view, assuming the worse of our enemies, from without or within, rarely leads to viable solutions. But that's just an opinion.🙏

Your comment would perhaps carry more weight if there was no response, but Shaiel did take the time to have a dialogue (which I appreciate - even though he didn't reply to my last comment). There were many points raised, so whether or not any of them will give him pause, comments on social media are not only for the original poster, but for others in that same category that may see it and take at least some points to heart. You said "Let's say Shaiel is all that you claim (not my opinion)." Do you not agree with any of the points? Do YOU not see how the anti-Israel voices around the world, especially in the Muslim community, have daggers out and making up excuses to hate all Jews? Do you not see how there is no longer shame for a Western podcast to publicly call for the extermination of ALL Jews? Are you so naive not to realize that The Netanyahu government is just an excuse and there was already justification being made for Oct 7 on Oct 7? Do you really believe that if Israel would seek peace, even with concessions that the most extreme Israeli voices are demanding, the Palestinians will abandon their ultimate goal of "from the river to the sea"? If Palestinians or Jews are obsessed with this conflict and mostly defending their own, even if they raise some criticism, there is no hypocrisy. Everyone else, whether Jews or other Muslims, that are coming out of hibernation as "civil rights activists" in the name of Palestinians, calling Israel genocidal and the most evil regime in modern history - but never in the past were obsessed with any of the indisputable atrocities around the globe that are/were a lot worse - they are all hypocritical and their agenda is clear. Someone that is not only Jewish, but an Israeli, and goes above and beyond, freely sharing propaganda from the usual suspect accounts, hopping on the same bandwagon of those that are just looking for excuses to spread their hate, and even protesting alongside them, they are doing the most long term damage to ALL Jews than anyone else. It is no different than the Jews in Germany that initially stood with H*itler and berated Jews when he claimed Jews "betrayed the country and brought a left-wing government to power." Those Jews naively believed that their "well intended criticism" of fellow Jews would help cool the hatred, when it was all just H*tler's excuse to begin the steps towards his "final solution". There's a very dangerous line between "not in my name" and proactively condemning Israel with the worst accusations. That line is being crossed over and over, and every Jew should be spending all their energy combatting it.

They are always telling us that Hamas should not be rewarded for October 7 with a Palestinian state. But a much bigger concern is that Israel should not be rewarded for the genocide by getting control over Gaza. That is exactly what is about to happen.

@Thebasilisk79 @ratlpolicy Dozens of nations did such things to others during the last 100 years. It's horrible, and I resent it with every fiber of my being but it's not evil or demonic. It's just human, at its shittiest.

@ratlpolicy @BHPanimalwatch Palestinians indeed made a bloody mess of their opportunities (assisted by a belligerent and short sighted Israel). But guilty or not, we're stuck with them, and unless we have a time machine, we should probably let go of the blame game and start facing reality.

@BHPanimalwatch Palestinians effectively had a state of their own. It was called Gaza. They chose to elect a terrorist group whose entire mission was eradicating the Jews. They sowed the wind & now they're reaping the whirlwind.

For that I apologize, but I'm not at all sorry. That was from Abiel, who is one of the many Hamas-linked "reliable sources" you repost content from. (I had screenshotted from their account to demonstrate where you get your information from and attached the wrong one). Below was your "version". In light of the sources you get your information from, read your caption and let's see if you can figure out why someone would believe one and not the other. A repost in general doesn't mean an endorsement, but when those networked accounts are your primary sources of media, it is. Be a man and agree you come across more fake or extremely disgusting posts from those accounts, even for your standards (like the original screenshot). Do you call out those for what they are, or are you too coward because then you'll lose their trust? Are you really so blind not to see that those are the very radical accounts that will do and say anything under the sun to get the world to hate Jews? Scrolling through your timeline, it's blatantly obvious what your strategy is - repost from those accounts just the things your heart knows are lies but you can try to justify, and turn a blind eye on the others. Hamas controls the narrative coming out of Gaza. Don't try to mislead anyone that the "press" in Gaza has free will to report anything else. Whether you get paid or not, you are a mouthpiece for Hamas. You may not share the very extreme of their propaganda, but when you share most of it, it is amplified - we all know how they love when they can show "even that Jew agrees".

@rabbriansamuel These two complex situations are different on so many levels, yet you casually equate them. Using the Holocaust card to "smash" every obstacle we face is disrespectful of our history and ruinous to our international standing. I hope we understand that before it's too late.

@EYakoby They didn't. And now the world demands that Israel give Palestinians what their Arab brethren wouldn't give them. That is unfair, and we've said that for decades. And after that argument has failed for the millionth time, can we please grow up and face reality?

Between 1948-1967, Egypt and Jordan controlled Gaza and the West Bank, so why didn't they establish a Palestinian State? I'll wait.

@LuanaGoriss I'm truly sorry for our communities' predicament but we keep repeating the same mistakes. Increasing security, seeking the government's help, condemning this and condemning that, are NOT "standing tall". it's bargaining for safety. Standing tall and safety don't go together.

Received from our Rabbi here this morning: “Dear Friends, Over the past day, many of us have felt a renewed sense of pain and unease following the deeply disturbing antisemitic rally that took place in our country. Words of hate and symbols of darkness reappeared where peace and understanding should dwell. Let me say this clearly: we will not be intimidated. We have stood tall for thousands of years, through the rise and fall of empires, through hardship and hate, and we remain standing today — not only surviving, but thriving. Yes, it hurts. It stirs memories we hoped to keep in the past. But let it also stir something else: our pride in who we are. Our strength. Our unity. We are the children of Abraham and Sarah, of those who stood at Mount Sinai and heard the voice of G-d declare, “I am the Lord your G-d.” No rally, no chant, no sign of hate can erase that eternal truth. This is a moment not for fear, but for resolve. Not for retreat, but for reaffirmation. We will continue to live as proud Jews — to educate our children, to celebrate Shabbat and holidays, to support one another, and to bring light where others bring darkness. Our sages taught that in a place where there is no humanity, strive to be human. And I would add: in a world where there is hate, let us bring more love. In a time when there is noise and confusion, let us stand firmly with clarity and compassion. Let us also not forget the many Australians of all backgrounds — government officials, neighbours, colleagues, friends — who have stood beside us and condemned this hatred unequivocally. There is more good than evil. There is more light than shadow. To the members of our community who are feeling anxious: your concerns are valid, and we are here for you. We will increase security as needed, and we will continue to work with authorities to ensure safety. But above all, we will not let fear define us. Now is the time to strengthen our Jewish identity, to wrap ourselves in our heritage like a warm tallit — with pride, dignity, and faith. Let us respond to darkness with more mitzvot, more kindness, more unity. Light, after all, is not diminished by sharing — it only grows. Am Yisrael Chai — the Jewish people live. And we always will. With blessing, hope and unshakable resolve.” Rabbi Nir

@AvivaKlompas It is not a secret that along with the Israeli hostages, there are hundreds of thousands of suffering Palestinians. "Professional Israelis" like yourself keep wailing about the one ignoring the other. Forget about decency. Do you think this stupidity is helpful?

Hamas says is it willing to allow the Red Cross access to the hostages if Israel permanently opens humanitarian corridors and ends aerial activity. To be clear: Hamas committed a war crime when it kidnapped civilians. It committed another by denying them access to the Red Cross. After nearly two years of starving hostages and blocking access by the Red Cross, Hamas is dangling basic humanitarian access like a bargaining chip.

@rachelbsol18 The Temple mount is another example of our inability to decide. If we're a religious country, then let's put our foot down and regain control. If not, then let's stop with the kindergarten tactics. What do we want to be? That's not for the Palestinians to decide.

I usually try to slip through some inconsistency. Show extremists on all sides that extreme and one dimensional views don't make sense. Some days I just keep scrolling and find zero cracks to slip through. People don't have views anymore. They just scream.

Okay. So Western governments falsely recognize a Palestinian state, and then India, China, Pakistan, Japan, parts of Russia, central Asia republics, Mongolia and even Taiwan are "Zionised". Can you outline the process of how that happens please?

It's much worse than that. This fake 'recognition' ploy is all that is standing between the status quo and the complete, formal Zionisation of all of Asia. The idea is that once a fake 'State of Palestine' is declared on paper, despite having no government, no borders, no citizens and no arms, the 'Saudi' regime in the Arabian Peninsula will be free to Zionise their tinpot kingdom, therefore leading to the Zionisation of all other Muslim states and the end of the anti-Zionist struggle. Obviously, the revolutionaries inside the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the Yemeni, Lebanese and Iraqi Resistance, are the chief obstacles against this plan being enforced.
Aamer@IbnKulthum

I have a deeply foreboding feeling about these announcements by various NATO vassals. It sounds a lot like a last ditch method to enshrine permanent apartheid via a Palestinian bantustan and save the Zionist project from its own barbarism.
