If this is your mindset when watching anime, then you're not watching it because you like anime or are interested, you're just trend chasing. This has become all too common: people watch only to be part of a group. It's a high-school mindset: "Oh well, they're watching it and I want to feel cool." Then they want it to be something it's not, because it was never what they actually liked. My advice: don't watch anime. It's clearly not of real interest to you, so don't force yourself. Go find something else you do enjoy. There's nothing wrong with not liking anime or finding something else.
