It’s not benefit of the doubt. If you have any idea of how events are booked, the likelihood of AEW finding a venue, date, and getting papers signed in days for the purpose of countering a show that it will outdraw anyway and typically runs 2-3 weeks later is extremely unlikely.

@JonAlba I love how AEW always gets the benefit of the doubt when it does things WWE would never get the benefit of the doubt for. Wonder if Silva knew about this when he pulled Slater. Would certainly make it more justified.

@Davboro123 They were usually on Saturdays late last year. With the Collision 1 hr converted to Tailgate Brawl and the one early afternoon start due to Wrestlepalooza (?). Somebody informed me during NFL season the PPVs shift to Saturday.

was it communicated to darby that he was next in line for the world title? cuz the territories oldhead in me is saying that if i told a wrestler he’s getting the world title and he then left to climb a mountain, he’d actually be permanently eliminated from contention lol

AEW and WWE can do this with relatively no backlash cause they pay their wrestlers enough where the Indie dates are not a necessity for them. TNA wrestlers rely on Indie dates cause the company doesn’t pay them enough so unless they plan on changing that, this will backfire bad

There is fear within MLP that Leon Slater and Nic Nemeth will be pulled. Leon Slater vs. Ricochet and Nic Nemeth vs. MJF have been planned for the event. Sources familiar with the situation believe that it is heading towards an environment where TNA talent can't wrestle AEW talent anywhere. People close to MLP heard that Carlos Silva wasn't happy about AEW running Collision opposite TNA IMPACT last week. Even though that was a WBD decision, as AEW has seemed to like the college basketball lead in that the weekends have brought. (@FightfulSelect)
